Meet Aibo (pronounced “eye-bo”). This new $2,900 “autonomous companion” by Sony is not their first attempt at perfecting a robotic dog (first introduced and reported by The Pet Gazette in 1999). Aibo is obviously an upgrade, with much more lifelike movements, including artificial intelligence and a cellular connection. You will miss out on going for a walk and wet kisses, but no poopy bag required… and no fleas or ticks!
