(Ossining, NY, January 2, 2017)-The Pet Professional Guild has appointed Ossining resident Paula Garber, owner of LIFELINE Cat Behavior Solutions in Briarcliff Manor, as chairwoman of its Cat Committee.
Garber is a certified animal training and enrichment professional and certified feline training and behavior specialist through the Animal Behavior Institute. She is also certified in low stress handling through Dr. Sophia Yin’s course, Low Stress Handling of Dogs and Cats, and is pursuing a diploma in feline behavior science and technology from the Companion Animal Sciences Institute. She holds a master’s degree in education from the University of Colorado at Boulder and also serves as an advisor to the board of FurBridge, a non-profit animal rescue and community outreach program in Ardsley. A consummate cat advocate, Garber hosts an annual event for volunteers to build winter shelters for free-roaming cats.
