In 2016, James Dimpsy and his wife handed their responsibilities of publishing in the magazine to Jason Klatsky. Since then, he is sincerely handling the publication. He strived to improve the quality of the paper & filled the magazine with beautiful colors. Along with this, he enhanced the digital presence of The Pet Gazette Magazine.

Jen is a seasoned PR, marketing, digital, communications, and advertising professional. She has received a BA degree in English and Journalism from Lehigh University, and a Masters degree in childhood education from Pace University.
Jim Dempsey
Publication Founder
James Dempsey used his talent and passion for pets and became the proud publisher of The Pet Gazette Magazine. Jim quits his sales job and decided to run The Pet Gazette, a free black and white magazine that comes out every two months and is devoted entirely to the Westchester animal scene. Later they started distributing the magazine in New York City, Fairfield, and Long Island.

The Pet Gazette’s visual presentation was highly professional, a strength that Mr. Dempsey credits to his wife, Cheryl, a graphic designer. Her work, especially on the covers, adds considerably to the magazine.

Alexandra Yaksich

Alexandra Yaksich wears many hats: she is a veterinary technician, writer of all things veterinary, and helps clinics build their practices. She completed her undergraduate studies in Behavioral Neuroscience in 2012 with a special interest in biology and behavior. Her work during this time focused on mapping neural pathways of behavior in dopaminergic neurons in the midbrain. This was the foundation of her interest in behavioral psychology.
